McCall Ocktoberfest to Support McPaws

About the Event: Oktoberfest is a favorite family-friendly fall tradition in McCall. Join MCPAWS and friends for great food, cold local brews, live music, dancing, fabulous raffle, fun craft vendors and more! We expect 1,500-2,000 folks to show up for this celebration. Music: This year you can enjoy live rock music by Drifter Still out of Boise,  and the returning German Oompa Band which always keeps the crowd entertained!

Costume Contest: Get those lederhosen out of storage, the costume contest is coming! There are prizes for the best dressed kids and adults.

Registration: A $10 entry fee gets you a souvenir Oktoberfest drink koozie and a free beer coupon. Kids under 21 are free. All proceeds go to the dogs and cats at MCPAWS!

 Raffle: Don’t miss out on the Oktoberfest Raffle! Tickets are just $5 each for a chance to win a variety of prizes. The grand prize this year: a 1986 Glastron speed boat and trailer! The boat is currently on display at Alpine Village in McCall.

Additional prizes include: A Mini Fridge filled with beer, a quilt, Gift Card to Unwind Body Spa, New Dog Bed, 2 Rounds of Golf at Jug Mountain, a new Bissell vacuum, a hobby horse and more!

Drawing will be held on October 3rd at 5:00pm at Alpine Village in McCall. You do not need to be present to win the grand prize, but you do need to be present to win all addditional prizes.

McCall College Motor Madness Car Show

On Saturday, June 29, the McCall College will host its annual McCall College Motor Madness Car Show.  Sure be a hoot, car owners will show off their collector automobiles or motorcycles and compete for prizes in 12 different categories.

This year’s event will showcase a collector motorcycle, the Dale Earnhardt Memorial Custom Chopper, AmericanHero.

Winners will be awarded trophies in each category.

McCall, Idaho Brundage Mountain Spring Happenings

Brundage Mountain in McCall, Idaho is wrapping up the season with some fun events during the spring break.

  • JUMP ON IT Airbag Tour comes to Brundage March 22-24.  Practice flips, jumps and grabs  into a large airbag.  People say it feels like falling into a cloud.  Scary at first, but once you land in the airbag you go back for more.  Great opportunity to learn new tricks or improve old tricks.  Fun for the novice jumper as well.  Check out the JUMP ON IT Airbag video and get more information at
  • “Gimme A Break” Day on March 24.  In honor of the first day of spring break, kids under 17 get a free ski day.  Can’t beat that deal!
  • Crazy Day on March 30.  Crazy Days at Brundage is a must see, at least once.  Pond Skimming, Family Poker Run and Treasure Hunt, and a Costume Contest are just a few of the activities.   Watching friends and strangers dressed in wild costumes jump from the face of Brundage Mountain into freezing water, sounds crazy, but it is fun and hilarious.  Everyone is invited to participate in all of the events.  Go to Brundage Mountain Crazy Days for more information.
  • Brundage Mountain Easter Egg Hunt March 31.  Bring the little ones to Brundage Mountain for its annual Easter Egg Hunt.  500 eggs and prizes are hidden down on Easy Street and in the trees near by for the kids to find. Starts at 11 AM.  Skis not required, only warm clothes and shoes.
  • Celebrate Family Day.  If you are visiting in town and do not have a season pass, this is a great deal.  Buy on full day pass and the rest of the family skis for free.
